Perceiving the world is where my work begins: pausing on what moves me, changes me, and stays with me. Through art I explore and reframe those experiences in order to share how I see.
I am drawn to nature, places, people, cultures, and the beauty of the everyday: those instants that often go unnoticed, or that we take for granted without registering everything they hold.
I work mainly with photography, painting, and mixed media. I use watercolour, oil, and acrylic, along with everyday materials and objects I find on my travels. Colour, texture, and emotion are the language of each piece.
Photography
Photography is my way of stopping time. I am inspired by the everyday, travel, people, architecture, landscapes, and those real, unstaged moments. I seek to hold onto instants that exist only once and, when seen again, awaken new emotions and memories.
I have shot social, architectural, culinary, and product photography for a range of clients, including:
Some of those shoots took place at Pujol, Quintonil, Garum and the Hotel St. Regis.
Intervened Photography
A photograph can be reproduced endlessly, but once I intervene it, it stops being a repeatable image and becomes a one-of-a-kind piece. I like to play with colour and adapt the moment to my own experience and way of perceiving it.
Painting
Through painting I explore, feel, and express my way of seeing the world. I work with watercolour, oil, and acrylic, experimenting with colour, shape, texture, and the possibilities each material offers. I enjoy the freedom of the creative process, working with layers, materials, and contrasts, and letting each piece find its own way.
I also incorporate everyday elements and objects found during my travels, especially local newspapers, which hold the memory of a place and a specific moment. Once woven into the work, they take on new meaning and become part of a new story.
